Overview
Designed custom features to address the customer's unique security, risk, and confidentiality needs, including: specific access control settings, restricted libraries, provisioning for designated use cases, and custom application for migrating files to the new one tool.
Designing custom features within vendor products necessitated the integration of the vendor design system with our organization's design system. By introducing custom solutions, we ensured that they fit seamlessly into the existing products.
Outcome
These solutions enhanced the firm's security and increased consultants' confidence in the system resulting in 35% YoY increase in user adoption.
To streamline the design process for future designers, we created bespoke Figma components that integrated elements from both the Firm’s and the vendor’s design systems.
Process
The process began by defining the feature's specifics based on employees needs and articulating security parameters. Prototypes were created for early user feedback. Insights from testing were used to refine the final design. Oversight during implementation ensured specifications were met, followed by rigorous testing to identify bugs and security issues. This approach ensured the custom features effectively met employees and clients needs as well as compliance standards.

Testing the flow with users
All decisions were made based on the user research. I conducted multiple rounds of user testing and gathered insights to refine UI elements, ensuring a seamless user experience for end-users in the migration process.
